The ministry of Faith Development meets on the third Sunday of each month after worship.
CHECK OUT OUR PRAYGROUND!
We love having children of all ages in worship with us! We have a special Prayground area in the sanctuary where parents and children can sit together, and large enough to fit a stroller as needed. There are special activities for children to do during the worship service -- quiet toys, drawing/coloring, puzzles, stuffed animals, books, etc. -- with a table and chairs just their size.
We also have an unstaffed nursery for parents who need to take their children out of the service. Ask an usher how to get to the nursery. In the nursery is a variety of toys and activities, a crib, changing table, baby swing, and children's books. Parents must stay with their children, but there is a TV with the worship service live-streamed so you don't miss any of the service.
KIDS' KITS
We have “Kids’ Kits” available for families and children to check out for at-home activities. Each kit centers around a particular theme: “The Good Book”, “Out of the Water”, “Birds of the Air”, and “Trees”. It’s a type of “Sunday School” in a kit!
Within each kit, you will find 3 lessons with Bible stories, an opening activity, some discussion questions, a craft or game with instructions, a song, and an ending prayer. Most of the needed materials and supplies are included in the kit. These are great hands-on activities that families can do together.
Families can check out a kit from the church to use at home when it best fits into your schedule. When families are finished, the instructions, samples and unused supplies from the kit should be returned to the church. Kits can be checked out during church office hours, Monday-Thursday 8 am to Noon. Kits can also be checked out on Sunday mornings.
Check out the Youth page for the latest offerings for our Youth (grades 6-12) and young adults post-high school and in their twenties.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible): This weekly online Bible study is on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM on Zoom. Each week we look at a different Scripture passage. All are welcome! If you would like to sign up for this study to receive the Zoom log-in information, email fpch@fpchighland.org to request being added to the list.
“The Bible in Today’s World” adult class meets each Sunday morning at 9 am, September through May, at the church. Class participants choose a variety of books and /or videos to help them make connections between their faith and today's world.
